I never thought I'd be so happy over something like a door stopper, but man, this solved such an annoying problem for me. I have literally the worst laundry room ever. I've actually bruised my hips on the doorknob in this process several times. I had tried a wedge door stopper before, but the fire door is too heavy to stay open with that. I also tried another, more traditional style of door stopper, that you have to flip up and down with your hands. It was inconvenient and barely worked with the heavy door. I saw this and thought maybe it would work, and it exceeded my expectations. It was easy to install, and it's so easy to use. It actually holds the heavy fire door open with no trouble at all, so I'm not slamming my hip into it trying to get it open. I haven't found anything like this in regular stores I have looked at. I'm so happy to have found this.

 This is an interesting option for the typical doorstop. Those that look like the usual thing that attaches to the wall behind your door to keep the doorknob from punching a hole in the wall, the traditional ones I suppose. This product on the other hand has a magnet on it to hold the door open. I like them as a better alternative to putting an old shoe or something in front of the door to keep it open.

As a mom of three kids, this door stopper is a lifesaver! Whenever I leave them to play inside their playroom and do other chores I won't ever have to overthink anything bad happening to them. A must buy mommies!

 I bought this, bec. my old one was like a huge bump when I vacuum I couldn't go over it and I am too lazy to use the handheld attachment. So having something flat on the floor is PERFECT. I can sweep or vacuum right over it. Also, I don't have to have anything sticking out on my wall. I love the chrome finish, it matches with my bathroom fixtures. We did have an issue with installation because we wanted to screw it into previous holes and the magnet on the door did not line up with the holes on the floor. We ended up cutting the magnet to make it fit and move it over so it lines up with our existing holes. It still works perfectly. If you were installing fresh, you would not have any issues. This is a great product.
